Elizabeth Báez, Su Pintura Le Canta a Puerto Rico

Si usted vive en Miami-Dade o Broward y ha visitado alguna actividad puertorriqueña, tiene que haber visto pinturas de Elizabeth Báez porque ella asiste a la gran mayoría. Y ver una obra de Elizabeth, es ver, oler y sentir a Puerto Rico. Pocos artistas locales logran captar esa visión de nuestras cosas, costumbres y tradiciones como lo hacen los, a veces intensos y a veces tenues, verdes, azules y anaranjados de su paleta. ¿De donde viene esa profunda inspiración? Elizabeth nació en New York. Su padre, Samuel Erazo es de Bayamón, su señora madre, Gelyn, es de Patillas, y ambos nunca han dejado de sentir por su islita. Crecer en ese choque de sentimientos, de gran urbe fuera de la casa e inmersión total en la tranquilidad de Borinquen dentro de ella, creó desde temprano una gran afinidad hacia todo lo puertorriqueño en Elizabeth. Cuando la familia se mudó a la isla, la futura artista llegó al quinto cielo. Había llegado a casa.

En Puerto Rico, Elizabeth terminó de desarrollar esa afinidad genética y sentimental a todo lo nuestro. Para una persona tan sensitiva que puede inspirarse en como brilla una luz en un charco de aqua callejera, ver esa luz multiplicarse en el reflejo de un riachuelo borinqueño fue como un regalo de Dios. Y nació una artista. Una artista que canta a todo lo puertorriqueño de su paleta. De gran convicción religiosa, Elizabeth considera que el arte es su conexión con Dios.

Actualmente viviendo en Miami, felizmente casada con Eduardo Báez, madre de Christopher (9) y Natalie (5), su pincel se desborda en obras como " Las tias", una de sus favoritas, donde se destila amor familiar, amor a la tradición, amor a las fiestas navideñas en la confección de los tradicionales pasteles.

La lista de sus exhibiciones en galerías y actividades es tan larga que se necesitarian varias páginas para describirlas, pues cubren varios años y países. En este preciso momento hay una exhibición suya en la galería Saint Auvent, en Francia. Pero como los artistas tambien tienen que comer, la obra de Elizabeth Báez se produce no solo en los grandes lienzos, sino en toda una gama de pinturas mas pequeñas económicas, reproducciones impresas, y accesorios con serigrafias, al alcance de cualquier bolsillo y de cualquier corazón nostálgico por lo puertorriqueño.

Varias pinturas de Elizabeth han servido de portada para innumerables impresos de organizaciones puertorriqueñas en el Sur de la Florida. Como PROFESA y el Centro Cultural de Puerto Rico. Cuyo logo para El último Festival del Plátano Puertorriqueño ella diseño.

Elizabeth Baez, Her Paintings Sing To Puerto Rico

If you live in Miami-Dade or Broward and have visited a Puerto Rican activity, you have to have seen paintings of Elizabeth Baez because she attends the great majority of them. And to see Elizabeth's work, is to see, to smell and to feel to Puerto Rico. Few local artists manage to grasp the vision of our things, customs and traditions the way, intense at times and other times, the soft green, blue and orange of her palette does. Where does that deep inspiration come from? Elizabeth was born in New York. Her father, Samuel Erazo is of Bayamón, her mother, Gelyn, is of Patillas, and both never have left to feel for their Islita. To grow in that collision of feelings, out of the of great metropolis and into total immersion in the tranquility of Borinquen inside her, created early in life a great affinity toward all Puerto Rican things in Elizabeth. When the family moved to the island, the future artist arrived to the fifth sky. She had arrived home.

In Puerto Rico, Elizabeth developed that sentimental and genetic affinity to all ours. For only a sensitive person can be inspired by a light shining in a puddle of water out on the street, to see that light to be multiplied in the reflection of a stream borinqueño is like a gift of God. And an artist was born. An artist that sings about all that is Puerto Rican things on her palette. Of great religious conviction, Elizabeth she considers that the art is her connection with God.

Presently living in Miami, happily married to Eduardo Baez, mother of Christopher (9) and Natalie (5), her brush overflows in works as " La Tías", one of her favorite, where family love is distilled, love of the tradition, love of Christmas festivities in the making of our traditional pasteles.
